ㅤWelcome to The Jabberwocky.ㅤ This is the place where deals are struck between sects far from the reach of any mortal court. Dark and intimate, this gathering house serves as a nexus to the finest minds amongst valued followers of the occult. A curious patron may well discover secrets that should never have been unearthed. Or perhaps you're simply here to drink. That's alright too.


Rulebook



We are an 18+ venue, for both players and characters. Due to the nature of the subjects discussed and explored on the premises we cannot allow minors (both IC and OOC) within the venue. This is a strict rule enforced here and failure to abide by this will result in immediate ejection and permanent blacklist. We are a LGBT+ venue. We do not accept hate speech of any kind in our venue, regardless of sexual orientation, race and/or gender identity. In-character insults shouldn't include any such vocabulary for everyone's sake; if necessary, characters will be removed IC for harassment of other patrons. IC is IC, OOC is OOC. We don't mind IC fighting and arguing, but remember IC actions have IC consequences. If you are uncomfortable with a character's actions OOCly, please try to resolve any problems before involving management or staff at your earliest opportunity. If it cannot be resolved, we may ask both parties to remove themselves, depending on the issue.

Twelve cannons and a harpoon at the front, sleeping quarters, and all the amenities a sea-bound ship should require. If the ship is sunk, the pearl is destroyed.

An inconspicuous leather bound journal, however when opened the pages are empty. It is not possible to write in, as the ink fades immediately.A leather string can be wrapped around the book or used as a bookmark. At the end of the string there is a small ruby gem attached with a gold ring.Should the user anoint the ruby gem with fresh humanoid blood, they will be able to write within the book. As soon as 24 hours passes, the words fade, only visible when fresh blood is used once more.Only a single drop is necessary.

It is rudimentary in explanation, providing a useful guide for even the most novice in magic.Every time the book is opened, the one attuned to the book will experience an intense and repetitive (though harmless flash of pain) every time they use the item.

A simple game of dice. The entry fee is around the cost of a nice dinner; what do you have to lose?

Each deposit earns you three dice rolls, you could easily win big, or lose it all... a game of pure luck and chance. To ensure everyone can play a round, the limit is three rolls per game. Hopefully luck is on your side.

If you find your gil purse is too light to partake in such precarious games, both proprietors are willing to take items or favors of value instead of gil, though make sure you offer something worthwhile.

Billiards/pool


A re-imagining of the beloved game "8-Ball" which can be played on the pool table in the basement, should it be available.

START
One player will break the 8-ball formation with "/random"

0-500 = Stripes
501-999 = Solids

EXAMPLE: Your OC is playing with their friend. They are chosen to break the 8-ball formation. You use "/random" in the say chat. If your number is 0-500, you are stripes and your friend is solids. If your number is 501-999, you are stripes and your friend is solids.
GETTING A BALL IN
To get a ball in, you each take turns in rolling "/random". If you roll higher than 500, the ball has gotten in. There are 8 balls, and each have to be sunk before sinking the black 8 ball.

SINKING THE 8-BALL
To sink the 8-ball and secure your win, In Character your OC will call out one of the 8 pockets that they are aiming the 8-Ball to sink in. Out of Character , you tell your friends a number between 1-8, then you use "/dice 10". If you get your roll, you've sunk the 8-ball
EXAMPLE: "Eight ball, corner pocket ((Number 5))." /dice 108-BALL SUNK TOO EARLY?
If you roll a 1, you've sunk the 8-ball. It happens! But also means an automatic loss.
WHITE BALL SUNK?
If you roll a 999, you've sunk the white ball.
The opposing team/player can remove the ball and place it anywhere on the table. Placing the white ball down means you can roll with advantage (roll /random twice, choose highest number)
